As a designer, I am a natural problem solver. As a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient...I love community engagement and volunteering.
Throughout my life I have been an advocate for our nation's veterans. As the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran, It have been my passion to assist and honor those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
I have also grown a passion for preservation...
FUN FACT: I am from the same areas in Kentucky as Rosemary Clooney! My grandfather founded both Augusta, KY & Middletown, KY in 1796. Both of these fun facts have led to a passion to help preserve history in those areas. In Augusta, KY, we established the Rosemary Clooney House which houses the famous White Christmas Collection and more! In Middletown, we are working with the Floyds Fork Conservancy to save Floyds Fork and a historic farm along Aiken Road!
My husband is a Prostate Cancer Survivor. In 2004, we established the Kentucky Prostate Cancer Coalition which provides FREE prostate cancer screenings at the KY State Fair.

Most people know me as Miss America 2000 but I also have a BS and Masters in Design from the world renowned College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning at the University of Cincinnati!
I truly believe that the fundamentals of design are in everything I do. Whether it is designing new products for retailers or organizations to designing and implementing new programs for veterans...design is truly in everyday life!
